Governor DANBABA SUNTAI of Taraba State

From ABDULLAHI YAKUBU, Dutse –
Jigawa State Independent Electoral Commission  {JISIEC} has said that  it has completed all arrangements to conduct   free and fair bye elections  aimed  to fill  in the gaps  of some PDP Councilors who lost their lives  in  Garkon Alli  in Kiyawa and  Madaka  wards  in Gagarawa local government areas  of  the state recently.
The Chairman of the JISIEC Alhaji  Mohammad  Sani Ahmed  Gumel,  made this known after a meeting with all the stake holders in the forthcoming election. According to him, the bye election would  be the first of its kind in the history of the state’s electoral body and conducted fairly among the six participating parties.
The Chairman revealed that arrangements  had been concluded  by the commission to release the electoral materials coming Friday just like in other elections, adding that about thirty adhoc staff were recruited and trained on how to assist the commission to discharge its duties diligently.
