The commander of the special task force keeping peace on the Plateau has said that the STF will continue to extend its gesture to the civilian population in the state.
Major- General Henry Ayoola, stated this yesterday in Jos while presenting cash donations of fifty thousands Naira to each of the two victims of the 16th August ill-fated bomb blast that rocked the Rikkos police station, thereby affecting two neighboring houses in the area.
According to Ayyoola, “This is in pursuance of our civil military relations in support of the peace healing process on the Plateau, we identify with all group. And it was unfortunate that, that night the incident occurred.”

The Joint Security Force [JTF] in Yobe state code named’’ Operation Restore Order lll’’ has assured Damaturu residents that it is committed to ensure the safety of their lives and property.
This assurance came following an attempted attack on members of the task force by yet to be identified gunmen during eid-el-fitr which was however, repelled by security forces.
A statement from the headquarters of the task force in Damaturu also urged Yobe residents to go about their normal businesses as security operatives were ready to ensure their safety.
‘’Residents of the state capital should not panic and members of the public have been called upon to provide necessary information as regards any threat to security in the state to the JTF’’, the statement said.
