The Joint Security Force [JTF] in Yobe state  code  named’’ Operation  Restore Order lll’’ has assured  Damaturu residents that it is committed to ensure the safety of their lives and property. This assurance came following an attempted attack on members of the task force by yet to be identified gunmen during eid-el-fitr which was however, repelled by security forces. A statement from the headquarters of the task force in Damaturu also urged Yobe residents to go about their normal businesses as security operatives were ready to ensure their safety. ‘’Residents of the state capital should not panic and members of the public have been called upon to provide necessary information as regards any threat to security in the state to the JTF’’, the statement said.
